Use Drop Boxes to Return Early Vote by Mail Ballots!

Douglas County drop box located at Douglas County Election Commission, 12220 W. Center Road, Omaha

Make sure your Vote by Mail ballot is counted by putting it in a drop box at your county.

County drop boxes provide a safe, secure and easy way to apply for and return vote by mail ballots. All three of Nebraska’s largest population counties have installed additional drop boxes. (Note: The new drop boxes in Lancaster County are inside the locations listed).

Collection boxes for any county business, including vote by mail applications and/or vote by mail ballots, are available at all county courthouses across Nebraska. See the “DROP BOXES BY COUNTY” link below for a complete listing.

Depositing election related materials — including by-mail ballot applications, voter registration applications and early voting ballots — into official drop boxes is the most direct method to return documents to the Election Commission or County Courthouse. No postage is needed.
