Join the LWVNE on Feb. 14 — the 104th Anniversary of the national League of Women Voters — at the Nebraska Capitol in Lincoln for its annual  Legislative Day.

The day will begin with a meeting at 9 a.m. in the Capitol cafeteria.

If you are interested in attending, we ask that you register by Feb. 9.

After you register for Legislative Day, you will receive a Zoom link to attend an optional virtual training session on Feb. 10 from 9-10:30  a.m.  It will be recorded for anyone to watch at their own convenience. You do not need to attend or watch the training session to participate in Legislative Day.

According to Rachel Gibson, LWVNE’s action vice president, “as in previous years, participants will spend the morning meeting with state senators to advocate for some of the LWVNE’s priority bills followed by conversations with fellow League members over lunch. Participants who can stay after lunch will wrap up the day by sitting in on a committee hearing in the afternoon.”
