Previously Blocked Prison Data Presentations Released by Judicial Branch


Two power point presentations by a non-profit analyzing criminal justice data for a state working group have been released. They were previously blocked by the governor. Takeaways from the power points include:
- Admission to Nebraska prisons are down 21% since 2011.
- Sentence lengths are up since 2011, with time served up 38%.
- Prison population up 21% since 2011.
- More than 40% of parole revocations are due to technical violations only.
