Nebraska and the Electoral College

Great Seal of Nebraska

Nebraska is one of only two states (the other is Maine) that uses the “congressional district method” to allocate electoral votes. In Nebraska, the winner of the state popular vote receives two electoral votes and the other three electoral votes are allocated to the popular vote winner in each of its three congressional districts. This may lead to a split electoral vote in Nebraska. Learn more about Nebraska and the Electoral College below.
