According to statistics provided by the national League of Women Voters, the number of Nebraskans accessing VOTE411 – its nonpartisan online voters’ guide – for the 2024 presidential year election more than doubled when compared to the 2022 midterm election.

Nebraska’s VOTE411 platform was accessed by 59,900 unique users in 2024 compared to 29,713 in 2022, said Jeanne Miller, administrator of VOTE411 for the League of Women Voters of Nebraska. Although 2024 was a presidential election year, the interest in Nebraska’s gubernatorial race in 2022 provides “some legitimate reasons to compare the two cycles” as to participation in VOTE411 in the state.

The LWVNE teamed up with local Leagues in Greater Omaha and Lincoln-Lancaster County in 2024 to provide voters with nonpartisan information – in both  English and Spanish – about candidates running in the primary and general elections as well as statewide and municipal ballot measures.

In 2024, VOTE411 provided information for Nebraska voters on:

“Although candidate response rates slipped from 2022’s statistics, almost 60,000 Nebraska voters went to VOTE411.org to learn about the candidates, races and measures on their ballots from a trusted source, the League of Women Voters,”  Miller said.
