Currently, we have four local Leagues in Nebraska:
Local Leagues provide many programs and activities for members. All local League members are automatically part of the state League. If you do not live near a local League but live in Greater Nebraska, you can join the state League as a At-Large Member.
An At-Large Member is part of the state League instead of one of our four local Leagues in Hastings, Lincoln, Omaha or Seward County.
Becoming a LWVNE At-Large Member provides you with a community that spans the state and enables you to take action on issues that affect all Nebraskans.
In a rural state like ours, At-Large Members can spread the mission and vision of the League’s non-partisan commitment to strengthen democracy by empowering and educating voters through grassroots advocacy in their communities with the support of the state League’s resources.
At-Large Members can attend state board meetings and participate in all programs offered through the State League.
The Hastings League of Women Voters serves the city of Hastings and surrounding Adams County.
The League of Women Voters of Lincoln-Lancaster County serves the city of Lincoln and Lancaster County.
The League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha serves the city of Omaha and its metropolitan area.
The League of Women Voters of Seward County serves the city of Seward and surrounding Seward County.
